NHS Cheshire and Merseyside has been leading a review of gynaecology and maternity services in Liverpool. You might remember public engagement last year on the case for change that they published. We shared this with staff and patients as the review also includes gynaecology cancer pathways.
Now NHS Cheshire and Merseyside (NHSCM) has shared an update on what's happening with the programme. An options appraisal and proposed next steps will go to the Women's Services Committee and the NHSCM Board in November. After that, they will engage with partner organisations. If appropriate, an external review by clinicians from another area could follow.
You can read the latest update on the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside website.
You can find out more about the proposals on the dedicated Gynae and Maternity review website.
