Dr Chloë May is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in Neuro-Oncology at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, where she has worked since 2014. She completed her specialist oncology training at Clatterbridge before being appointed as a Consultant in 2020. Dr May holds an undergraduate degree in Medical Physics from the University of Liverpool and completed her medical degree at Newcastle University.
Dr May specialises in the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) tumours, including primary and secondary brain cancers, spinal tumours, and a wide range of benign brain and skull base tumours. She has expertise in advanced radiotherapy techniques, including stereotactic radiosurgery/radiotherapy (SRS/SRT) and intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), as well as a range of systemic anti-cancer treatments.
Dr May is the Neuro-Oncology Service Lead at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and also serves as Clinical Appraisal Lead. She is actively involved in clinical research and is Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator for studies within the Trust's CNS clinical trials portfolio.
She is committed to delivering holistic, compassionate, personalised and evidence-based care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients and their families.
